Howe Island has been part of my family's story for more than 40 years. It is a place that has given us lifelong friendships, a strong sense of community, and countless memories. As a fulltime resident it is a place I am proud to call home.

Throughout my career, I have worked in roles that require me to manage people, budgets, facilities and complex projects, often with many different priorities to balance. I have learned the value of being prepared, asking good questions, listening to the people involved and making decisions based on good information. I have also learned that managing public and institutional resources comes with a responsibility to use them carefully.

Giving back to the community has always been important to me. I am proud to serve as a member of the Howe Island Volunteer Fire & Rescue team and as a Howe Island Garden Bud. These experiences have given me an even greater appreciation for the people who volunteer their time to make our community stronger.

I am running as a candidate for Councillor because I care deeply about the future of Howe Island and the Township of Frontenac Islands. I believe residents deserve a councillor who listens, asks thoughtful questions, and approaches every decision with integrity, respect, and a commitment to responsible stewardship of public resources.

My career has given me more than 20 years of management experience in university and municipal environments, with responsibility for budgets, contracts, staff, volunteers, facilities, projects and public-facing operations.

Queen's University | Smith Engineering

Event Planning Specialist | Marketing and Communications | 2025- Current

I currently work with Smith Engineering at Queen's University, planning and delivering complex events and initiatives involving faculty leadership, staff, students, donors, industry and community partners. My role requires careful planning, budget management, coordination across departments and the ability to bring many moving parts together.

City of Brockville | Brockville Arts Centre

Front of House |  2024-2026

At the municipally operated Brockville Arts Centre, my work has included facility operations, staff and volunteer coordination, accessibility improvements and operational projects. I have also contributed to grant-funded accessibility work and improvements to systems and services.

McGill University | Moyse Hall Theatre

Theatre Production Manager | 2002–2024

For more than 20 years, I managed a busy university facility that hosted more than 100 events each year. I was responsible for budgets, contracts, revenue, staff and volunteers, facility operations, health and safety, equipment and infrastructure, and relationships with university departments and external organizations.

The work was varied and often complex. It required balancing financial realities, operational needs and the expectations of many different people, while finding practical ways to get things done.
